Editorial Staff 2023-2024
Maggie Buck (any pronouns)
Maggie is a sophomore pre-vet biochemistry and microbiology double major from Senatobia, MS. They enjoy reading, sewing, baking, and hanging out with their friends in their spare time and can often be spotted wandering campus any hour of the day with them. This is her second year on staff. She plans on becoming a veterinary epidemiologist to track new emerging diseases.
Kore Larry (any pronouns)
Kore Larry is a junior studying International Business and Spanish who enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and listening to music.
Jacob McGee (he/him)
Jacob is a sophomore majoring in Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture, from Hinds county, Mississippi. He has been a member of the editorial team for the streetcar since freshman year. Jacob loves reading odd, creative, and contemporary literature; so, becoming an editor for a journal that receives such pieces was a wonderful decision.
Mary Evelyn McLemore (she/her)
Mary Evelyn is an Anthropology major with a minor in Classics. She enjoys embroidery, tea, poetry, and going on little adventures with her friends. This is her first year on editorial, and she is having a wonderful time!
Haylee Morman (she/her)
Haylee is a Junior English major with minors in TESOL and creative writing. She pursuing the Cursus Honorum. This is her third year on staff and first year as Poetry Editor.
Luke Salisbury (he/him)
Luke Salisbury is a Mechanical Engineering major from Long Beach, MS. This is his first year on the editorial staff for the journal, and he is excited to help with this amazing journal.
Jay Snodgrass (they/them)
Jay is a second-year architecture student who enjoys Dungeons & Dragons, film photography, and their cat, Maisy. Their favorite way to spend an afternoon is sipping a chai latte at 929 Coffee Bar while people-watching or reading a good book, and they love supporting local musicians at shows around Starkville. This is their second year on staff and first year as Photography Editor.
Jayne Opiela (she/her)
Jayne Opiela is a sophomore biomedical engineering major and first-year editor at The Streetcar.
Hayden Pilkinton (she/her)
Hayden is a sophomore English major, making this her second year at State and as a member of the editorial staff. She likes playing volleyball in her free time, and enjoys cozying up with a good book when the weather looks glum.
Zoe Maddox (she/her)
Zoe was a senior majoring in International Business and graduated in December 2023. She was a part of The Streetcar for five years, working on Editorial Staff for her final semester.
Ashe Vielee (she/they)
Ashe is a freshman majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising. This is her first year on staff. She has loved reading and writing for her entire life, and she also enjoys drawing.
Sydney Oliver (she/her)
Sydney is a junior majoring in Environmental (Civil) Engineering with a minor in math. This is her second year on editorial staff.
Leah Wisener (she/her)
Leah is a junior majoring in Art with a concentration in graphic design and a minor in mathematics. She has been on The Streetcar editorial staff for two years.
Rabia Siddiqui (they/them)
Rabia is a senior majoring in Fine Arts with a concentration in Sculpture. This is their second year on staff as the Art Editor.
